Victoria Chelangat Sabula

Victoria Sabula is a seasoned African leader in private sector development and financial inclusion, with over 15 years of experience in the financial services and development sectors. She currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF), the largest challenge fund in Africa, where she has led efforts to catalyze private sector investment for rural and marginalized communities since 2019. Under her leadership, AECF has scaled its financing, advisory, and investment support to over 450 businesses across 26 countries, aiming to improve the livelihoods of millions of Africans and strengthen resilient rural economies.

Before joining AECF, Victoria was General Counsel and Corporation Secretary at the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). In this role, she provided strategic oversight on legal advisory, compliance, risk management, and governance across 18 countries. Earlier, she built her career at KCB Bank Group, where she led corporate finance transactions, managed complex legal agreements, and supported multi-country regulatory compliance.

Victoria also serves on several boards, including CAMFED, Convergence Finance, and the Science for Africa Foundation. She contributes to global discussions on resilience and development through the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on New Agenda for Fragility and Resilience.

Raised in rural Kenya, Victoria is deeply committed to inclusive growth and equitable market systems. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Moi University, a Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Kenya Institute of Management, and an MBA from Africa Nazarene University. Her career reflects a strong focus on scaling impactful private sector solutions that benefit underserved communities across Africa.
