Jean-Paul Nageri

Jean-Paul Nageri is an experienced agribusiness leader and founder of Sio Valley Technologies, a company addressing food waste and spoilage across Africa. Over nine years, he has developed technologies and strategies that enhance food security and reduce post-harvest losses.

He currently serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer at Sio Valley Technologies. Previously, from 2017 to 2023, he was Chief Executive Officer of Sio Valley Food Industries Limited, where he managed production, supply chains, and distribution. During this period, he introduced innovative storage and processing solutions that extended the shelf life of perishable goods, benefiting farmers, retailers, and consumers alike.

In his leadership, Jean-Paul emphasizes data-driven decisions and operational efficiency. Furthermore, he leads initiatives that empower smallholder farmers through technology, training, and improved market access. His approach combines strategic thinking with practical solutions, creating meaningful social and economic impact.

Jean-Paul holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Uganda Christian University. He also completed programs at Y Combinator Startup School and the Michigan Fellows Agribusiness Initiative, gaining insights into global agritech practices.
