Zalisha Africa

Zalisha is a Nairobi-based agritech company founded in 2017. It develops digital tools that support smallholder farmers and agribusinesses. The platform helps farmers plan, manage, and market their produce. It combines farm management systems with climate and market data. As a result, farmers make timely and informed decisions across the production cycle.

The platform offers precision farming tools, agro-ecological advisories, and climate analytics. It also provides digital record-keeping and farm dashboards. Farmers track activities such as planting, irrigation, and harvesting in real time. In addition, Zalisha integrates weather data and sensor-based insights to improve accuracy. These tools help farmers optimize inputs, reduce losses, and increase productivity.

Zalisha also supports market access and financial inclusion. It connects farmers, cooperatives, and SMEs with buyers and input suppliers. At the same time, its digital records generate credit profiles for users. This improves access to loans, inputs, and structured markets. Consequently, farmers strengthen their financial position and expand their operations.

The company was incubated at the Chandaria Innovation Center at Kenyatta University. This support helped refine its technology and delivery model. Since then, Zalisha has expanded its reach across farming communities in Kenya.

By combining data, advisory services, and market linkages, Zalisha addresses gaps in farm management and access to finance. It supports climate-smart agriculture, improves efficiency, and strengthens smallholder livelihoods across the agricultural value chain.
