Victory Farms
Victory Farms is a pioneering aquaculture company based in Homa Bay County on the shores of Lake Victoria, Kenya. Founded in 2015, it has rapidly grown to become sub‑Saharan Africa’s fastest‑growing fish farm. The company operates a fully vertically integrated model from hatchery and fingerling production to cage culture, processing, cold‑chain logistics, and retail distribution.
Through deep‑water cages placed offshore and a hatchery capable of producing up to 30 million tilapia fingerlings per year, Victory Farms supplies fresh tilapia daily to consumers across Kenya via a network of branches and market vendors. Their operations are designed to address Kenya’s widening deficit in fish supply, offering affordable, nutritious protein to low‑ and middle-income communities.
In 2025, the company opened a new fish-processing plant in Suba Central, with a capacity to process 120 metric tons per day. This facility also transforms fish waste into animal feeds, adding value and enhancing resource efficiency. Victory Farms maintains a cold chain from lake to plate, delivering chilled fish within 36 hours.
Sustainability and social responsibility are core to their mission. Victory Farms is the first tilapia producer globally to join the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) Improver Programme, committing to improved environmental, social, and operational practices. The company directly employs hundreds of people in Homa Bay and indirectly supports thousands more through its distribution network and community‑based initiatives.
Backed by impact investors, Victory Farms demonstrates how modern aquaculture can help close the protein gap, create jobs, and support food security, making it a leading model for sustainable fish production in Kenya and East Africa.
