United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa) is a private, secular, and dually accredited institution located in Nairobi County . Tracing its history to 1927 in San Diego, USA, the African campus was formally established in 1969 and gained full Kenyan accreditation in 2005. The university is recognized for its global outlook, academic rigor, and commitment to practical, hands-on learning, with a faculty-to-student ratio of 1:20 and a culture that emphasizes interdisciplinary research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The Global Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship (GAME) Center, housed within USIU-Africa’s School of Graduate Studies, Research, and Extension, serves as the university’s flagship for agricultural research, training, and consultancy in Eastern Africa. The Center leverages specialized faculty, trained graduate students, and partnerships with technical consulting firms to deliver services in agribusiness markets research, value chain analytics, extension advisory, and policy-relevant impact evaluations. Its human-centered design agribusiness training equips farmers, entrepreneurs, cooperatives, and agribusiness professionals with skills in resource mobilization, ICT applications, business modeling, and financial management, culminating in the preparation of bankable business plans.

USIU-Africa emphasizes applied learning through workshops, simulations, field visits, and practical projects. The institution also supports research on agriculture finance, smallholder productivity, value chains, nutrition, and policy interventions to enhance food security and agricultural innovation.
