Society of Crop Agribusiness Advisors of Kenya

The Society of Crop Agribusiness Advisors of Kenya (SOCAA) is a professional, membership-based organization that brings together experts supporting crop production and agribusiness value chains in Kenya. Registered in December 2015 and recognized by the State Department of Agriculture, SOCAA serves as a neutral, non-political, and non-profit platform for agricultural professionals working across diverse crop systems.

SOCAA’s membership includes agronomists, farm managers, crop protection advisors, input suppliers, post-harvest and food safety specialists, and market access advisors. These professionals work across vegetables, flowers, tea, coffee, cereals, pulses, and other crop enterprises. In addition, SOCAA admits new agriculture graduates and like-minded associations, helping to strengthen professional standards across the sector.

The society’s mission is to build a strong and engaged community of advisors who improve agricultural practices, influence policy, and raise farmers’ incomes. Its vision is to be the leading hub of agricultural professionals driving impact across agribusiness. Integrity, trust, teamwork, and accountability guide all its work.

Through structured projects, policy advocacy, and professional certification, the Society of Crop Agribusiness Advisors of Kenya supports sustainable and competitive crop value chains. Key initiatives include regenerative agriculture programmes, food safety and food loss reduction efforts, and the NROCAA professional certification scheme. These initiatives promote continuous learning and credible advisory services.

SOCAA also acts as a convening platform. It links farmers, agribusinesses, regulators, researchers, and development partners. By doing so, it strengthens knowledge exchange, improves decision-making, and supports inclusive growth in Kenya’s crop sector.
