About
Simbi Roses is a Kenyan grower and exporter of premium cut roses based in Thika, approximately one hour from Nairobi. Established in 1995 as a two-hectare farm within a coffee plantation, the company has grown into a 30-hectare floriculture enterprise producing up to 200,000 rose stems daily for international markets. Today, Simbi Roses exports its flowers to customers in more than 12 countries and continues to expand its global presence.
The farm cultivates 25 rose varieties to meet diverse market preferences. Its favourable location, reliable water supply from several man-made dams, and suitable climatic conditions provide an ideal environment for year-round flower production. Since its establishment, the company has invested in modern crop management systems and quality control processes that support consistent production and high product standards.
Simbi Roses operates under the guiding principles of integrity, sustainability, community, and environmental responsibility. The company promotes transparency throughout its operations while encouraging employees to maintain high standards in flower production and packing. Sustainable farming practices focus on conserving natural resources, protecting ecological balance, and maintaining a healthy environment for employees and neighbouring communities.
The company employs approximately 500 people and places strong emphasis on worker welfare and community development. Its mission extends beyond flower production by supporting the well-being of employees, their families, and surrounding communities through corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Guided by its vision of becoming a leading flower farm in the region, Simbi Roses continues to combine quality production, responsible farming practices, and customer-focused service while strengthening Kenya’s reputation as a producer of premium cut roses.
