Established as a Moi University facility, Rivatex officially became a company on 16th August 2007, with the objective of leveraging its capabilities for training, research, consultancy, product development, extension services, and commercial textile production. The company was inaugurated by retired President Mwai Kibaki and has since evolved into a major driver of Kenya’s textile industry.
Rivatex specializes in converting cotton lint into finished fabrics, offering a diverse range of products from pure cotton to cotton-blend textiles. The company has heavily invested in state-of-the-art machinery, positioning itself as a leader in East and Central Africa with ultra-modern apparel and garment manufacturing capabilities. This technological advancement allows Rivatex to produce intricate designs and a variety of clothing products while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
The company has established several factory outlets across Kenya, including Nairobi, Kisumu, Eldoret, and Nakuru, catering to retailers, educational institutions, manufacturers, and other clients.
