Morendat Farm

Morendat Farm is an agricultural enterprise in Kenya and a brand of Kenya Nut Company. The farm focuses on livestock production, meat processing, and crop cultivation. It supplies beef, goat meat, honey, and other farm products to Kenyan markets.

The livestock unit raises cattle and goats on natural pastures. Animals feed mainly on grass and receive veterinary care as part of routine herd management. Farmers avoid hormones and routine antibiotics in the production system. In addition, trained staff handle slaughter and butchery using controlled food safety procedures. The farm then packs meat products in temperature-controlled environments before distribution.

Morendat Farm also cultivates cereals, legumes, and vegetables. The crop system uses irrigation, soil management, and crop rotation to maintain productivity. Farmers apply water conservation practices and ecological production methods during cultivation.

In addition, the farm works with surrounding farmers. It provides training on improved seeds, crop management, and sustainable farming practices. These partnerships increase crop supply and strengthen farm production systems.

Meanwhile, distribution focuses on Nairobi and other urban markets in Kenya. Cold-chain transport moves meat products from the farm to retailers and customers.

Morendat Farm operates within the agricultural structure of Kenya Nut Company. The parent company, established in 1972, produces macadamia nuts and other agricultural products across East Africa.

The farm has operated for more than two decades and serves thousands of customers through its meat distribution network.
