Kibwezi Agro Orchard
Kibwezi Agro Orchard is one of Kenya’s largest mango producers, located in Ingóla Village, Masongaleni, approximately 40 kilometers from Kibwezi town and a four-hour drive from Nairobi. Nestled on the banks of the Athi River with views of Tsavo East National Park and the Yatta Plateau, the orchard combines commercial agriculture with a scenic environment that supports agri-tourism initiatives.
Established in 2013, Kibwezi Agro started with just 6 hectares and 2,700 seedlings. Today, the orchard spans 72 hectares with over 10,000 apple mango trees, producing a minimum of 62,000 metric tons per week during the harvest season. This scale makes it one of the largest apple mango orchards in Kenya, supplying both domestic and international markets with high-quality fruit.
The company emphasizes sustainable and integrated pest management practices to ensure healthy crops. It selects pest-free propagation materials, grafts with carefully chosen scions, and manages fruit fly infestations using liquid para-pheromones while controlling seed weevils through strict orchard hygiene. These measures reduce disease carryover and enhance fruit quality.
Kibwezi Agro’s operations are supported by a dedicated team committed to consistent production, quality control, and sustainable farming. The orchard also engages in community development, creating employment opportunities and promoting local economic growth.
With a focus on high yields, premium fruit quality, and environmentally responsible practices, Kibwezi Agro Orchard stands out as a leader in Kenya’s horticultural sector. Its combination of scale, sustainability, and scenic location positions it as a trusted supplier of apple mangoes and a model for innovative agribusiness in the country.
