Kenya Nut Company Ltd, established in 1974 in the Kenyan Highlands, is a pioneering agribusiness and Africa’s first macadamia-processing enterprise. Over five decades, it has grown from a single-nut operation into a diversified agribusiness producing macadamia, cashew, coffee, tea, chocolate, edible oils, wine, and beef. The company operates seven farms covering more than 8,000 acres and employs over 1,260 people. Its operations are fully vertically integrated, encompassing seedling propagation, orchard management, harvesting, processing in certified facilities, packaging, and distribution. Kenya Nut markets its products under multiple brands, including Out of Africa (nuts, coffee, tea, chocolate, and oils), Nutfields (packaged nuts), Leleshwa (wine and spirits), and Morendat (livestock and beef).
