Ecoscapes Kenya Limited
Ecoscapes Kenya Limited is an integrated agroecological and sustainable development enterprise on the western shores of Lake Naivasha. Founded in 2015 by Alexandra and Richard Bell, Ecoscapes combines organic farming, conservation, renewable energy, and responsible land use.
At its core is Ecoscapes Sanctuary, a 150-acre mixed-use development. It integrates organic farming, wildlife conservation, eco-tourism, and residential living. The Sanctuary includes a certified organic market garden, botanical gardens, a future garden centre, eco-tourism accommodation, and an 80-acre wildlife sanctuary preserved permanently. This design shows how agriculture, conservation, and human settlement can coexist.
Ecoscapes Organic Market Garden has been certified under the East Africa Organic Products Standard since 2017. It grows over 100 varieties of organic vegetables, fruits, and herbs for local markets in Naivasha and Nairobi. The farm promotes agroecological practices that protect soil health, biodiversity, and human well-being. It reduces reliance on hazardous agrochemicals.
Beyond farming, Ecoscapes runs landscape architecture, sustainability consulting, renewable energy advisory, and eco-tourism ventures. These initiatives support education, skills development, and knowledge sharing in organic farming, sustainable design, and renewable energy systems.
Ecoscapes’ mission is to promote healthy living, environmental stewardship, and community-centred development. Its work serves as a practical model for sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and responsible land use in Kenya and the wider East African region.
