Eastern Produce Kenya Limited
Eastern Produce Kenya (EPK) is one of the country’s longest-established and most respected tea producers, operating across the lush, high-altitude landscapes of Nandi Hills in western Kenya. Benefiting from the region’s rich volcanic soils, equatorial climate, and consistent rainfall, EPK produces high-quality tea throughout the year, positioning itself as a key contributor to Kenya’s global reputation in the black CTC tea market.
Quality is central to EPK’s operating philosophy. The company’s mantra of “cultivating quality in all we do” is reflected in its rigorous field management, harvesting practices, and factory processing standards. EPK combines decades of agronomic expertise with modern sustainability initiatives to ensure both consistent product excellence and long-term environmental stewardship. Its operations are increasingly responsive to climate-related challenges, with a strong focus on responsible land use, soil health, and resource efficiency.
A cornerstone of EPK’s business model is its partnership with over 14,000 smallholder growers across the Nandi region. Through extension programs, agronomy support, and fair trading arrangements, EPK empowers rural farmers, strengthens livelihoods, and ensures a reliable supply of green leaf to its factories. Together with its own estates, this integrated network produces approximately 30 million kilograms of tea annually.
EPK’s teas are sold under well-known garden marks including Sokot, Kipkoimet, Kepchomo, Chemomi, Kamarya, Sitoi, and Savani. The company also manages additional third-party estates whose teas trade under the marks Kibwari, Siret, and Toyoi.
With its blend of heritage, sustainability, and community partnership, Eastern Produce Kenya remains a leading force in Kenya’s tea sector and a key player in the global supply chain.
