Dheiton Ventures Limited (DVL)

Dheiton Ventures Limited (DVL) is a woman-led, market-driven social enterprise in Kenya specializing in the poultry value chain. The company focuses on large-scale, commercially viable production of chicken eggs and value-added egg products while integrating climate-vulnerable smallholder farmers into its operations. DVL aims to enhance food security, create dignified employment, especially for women and youth, and promote sustainable agricultural practices that strengthen community resilience.

Established to address challenges faced by smallholder poultry farmers, DVL provides capacity building, links farmers to verified inputs and service providers, and applies innovative fintech and agritech solutions to improve efficiency. The company also emphasizes circular economy practices to reduce food loss, waste, and greenhouse gas emissions. By creating stable domestic and export market access, DVL ensures reliable income for farmers and high-quality products for consumers.

Operating from Ndaragwa, off Nyahururu-Nyeri Road, approximately 250 kilometers north of Nairobi, DVL collaborates with national and county governments, farmer organizations, development partners, and private sector actors. The company’s operations initially began in Nyandarua and Laikipia Counties and are expanding to other regions in Kenya.

Dheiton Ventures integrates sustainable business growth with socio-economic development by creating direct and indirect green jobs, increasing agricultural productivity, and supporting rural livelihoods. Its poultry operations are designed to provide nutritious protein efficiently while minimizing environmental impact through upcycling poultry waste into valuable by-products.

With a strong commitment to professionalism, integrity, collaboration, and innovation, DVL continues to transform rural communities, enhance smallholder capacity, and deliver high-quality poultry products to local and international markets. Its approach demonstrates a successful model of inclusive and climate-smart agribusiness.
