Agriculture Sector Network (ASNET)
The Agriculture Sector Network (ASNET) is the umbrella body representing the collective voice of Kenya’s agriculture sector. It serves as the agriculture sector board under the Kenya Private Sector Alliance(KEPSA). Established in 2020, ASNET was formed through a strategic partnership involving KEPSA, the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), the SDG Partnership Platform at the United Nations, and private-sector actors such as Elgon Kenya Limited, among others.
ASNET’s primary mandate is to coordinate stakeholders in the agricultural sector across Kenya. In particular, it provides structured platforms for policy advocacy and value chain development. Through these mechanisms, the network works to improve productivity, strengthen competitiveness, and attract investment into the sector.
Moreover, the Agriculture Sector Network seeks to create a more enabling and predictable business environment for agriculture at the county and national levels. It also engages at regional, continental, and global forums to ensure Kenya’s agriculture sector remains competitive. To achieve this, the Agriculture Sector Network builds strong partnerships with national and county governments, development partners, and industry players.
Ultimately, the network aims to drive agricultural transformation that supports economic growth, inclusive wealth creation, and sustainable job opportunities across Kenya’s agri-food systems.
