aak-GROW/CropLife Kenya
aak‑GROW (CropLife Kenya) is the national representative of the international agrochemicals industry in Kenya. The organization brings together manufacturers, formulators, repackers, importers, distributors, agro-dealers, farmers, and users of crop protection products.
Founded in 1958 as the Pesticide Chemicals Association of Kenya, aak‑GROW has grown into a leading advocate for sustainable agriculture and food security. Its vision is “Better food, grown sustainably for better health.” Its mission is to promote safe and responsible farming practices and support resilient food systems.
aak‑GROW oversees the life cycle of crop protection products. This includes production, formulation, safe application, and disposal. The organization runs training programs on responsible pesticide use, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), resistance management, and safe container disposal. These efforts protect human health and the environment while improving agricultural productivity.
In addition, aak‑GROW leads policy advocacy and regulatory compliance. It promotes industry self-regulation, enforces quality standards, and fights counterfeit pesticides. The association works closely with government agencies to strengthen Kenya’s agrochemical regulations.
Partnerships are key to aak‑GROW’s work. It collaborates with government institutions, development partners, and private sector stakeholders. Together, they improve coordination, build capacity, and promote ethical industry practices.
Through stewardship, policy leadership, and collaboration, aak‑GROW supports sustainable farming, safer crop protection, and better food security. It remains committed to improving farming, food, and health for Kenya’s current and future generations.
